Inside Our Project – Salisbury Renovation

Every house that we renovate has a story. Some more interesting than others. Our latest renovation at Salisbury really had us captivated from the very beginning.

Around 8 weeks ago, we walked into this 1920’s Ashgrovian Queenslander. The house, originally built in Ascot was relocated to Salisbury by the current owners. The house was that large, that it had to be relocated in 3 parts and put back together.

When we first entered the property the house was dark, tired and pretty much had been untouched. She needed a lot of love and we knew that we were able to make her shine again.

MAY 2017

There were so many beautiful elements of this property that is rarely seen in modern day homes. Amazing led light doors and windows which really enhanced the character of the home. Original kitchen cabinetry that could be restored. A walk in pantry (this was the first time that we had actually seen one in a house so old) and a massive master bedroom.

The renovation included a kitchen renovation, bathroom renovation, painting of all internal walls and finally sanding and polishing of the original floors.

We often are asked, why do you prefer renovating over new builds? And this is the reason why!
